Unfortunately we like being sad, we love sympathy which people show us when we are sad. So we made our habits to be unhappy and superficially we are searching for happiness.

If you are really seeking for happiness then you are at right place.

Now first of all throw away the sadness and negativity from your mind, and wear a beautiful smile on your face and now read this article.


Train your mind for happiness:

  1. Change thinking habit-Whenever any negative thought come in your mind, add “BUT” to your thought and that negative thought will be converted into positive one.

Simple affirmative thought make you unhappy as you actually don’t believe in it and you are saying.

For example:

Negative thought – If you say I am Fat, I am not thin.

Affirmative thought – I am thin.

Right sentence – I am fat But I am trying to reduce weight and soon I will reduce it and I will be thin.

  1. Write a journal- Never keep all the bad memories in your mind and heart. Just write it in a journal and express your all hurt, anger and grieve in that. Don’t carry all these unnecessary baggage which is not at all good for your health and happiness. It is about you letting it go out.

After expressing your feelings in words on paper you can either destroy it or keep safely.

  1. A heart to heart talk – Talk with yourself. See in mirror and say whatever you want. Just tell to yourself what you learnt from that mistake or that relation which is still hurting you.

Tell to yourself how much you love yourself and how strong you are. This tact really works.

Talking to youself is much better than telling someone else about your mistakes and relationships.

I follow this method and I can recommend you it, personally.

  1. Forgiveness- Forgive those people who hurt you, forgiveness is required for your happiness. Until you will not forgive them that pain will be always with you. So forgive your enemies not because they deserve forgiveness but you deserve peace.

You might have seen these method in movie “Jab we met”. In that movie Shahid Kapoor flushed his girlfriend photo in toilet and then he felt so relaxed. And Kareena Kapoor abused her boyfriend.

  1. How you react to criticism is a habit – Some people feel bad about themselves when someone criticize them, while other never seem to care about criticize.

A thinking habit how you react on compliment, how you react when you feel threatened or taken advantage of.

 By actively choosing different thoughts, you can reinforce the habit of thinking positively and decrease the habit of thinking negatively.

So start responding rather reacting.

You can also follow some small tips-

  1. Pay attention to triggers- What or who makes you unhappy, identify them and try to keep distance with them.

  2. Turn off the negative self-talk channel of your mind.

  3. The quality of our thoughts determine our lives.

  4. Spending money on others to promote happiness.

  5. Make some inner changes and remove negative influences from your life.

  6. Fear and worry causes stress and unhappiness.

  7. Be a doer. Do what you love and doing will bring love, peace and happiness in your life.

  8. Don’t identify yourself with sufferings, loss or illness as being who you are. (Don’t make your identity as you are a patient of some serious disease or, you are a widow or divorcee, whatever the case may be but definitely you are not these.).

  9. If you think negatively than change the channel. Get up and do something to get your mind off the issue and keep your brain focused on more productive activities.

  10. Give yourself advice you would give to a trusted friend.

  11. Balance your emotions with logic.

  12. Random acts of kindness make you more happy.

  13. Positive thoughts make you happy while negative thoughts make you unhappy.

  14. Do not hold on to past hurt or anger.

  15. Never judge others.

  16. Know how to refocus.

  17. Love to laugh.

You might have seen some people, they are always in good mood and happy. Their some basis characteristics includes these two –

  1. They know they are enough (They don’t attach their self-worth to external things. In relationship they have a “Take me as I am” attitude).

  2. They learnt in their life neither any materialistic things nor any person can make them happy or feel fulfilled.

Remember You have 70,000 thoughts per day. If you doubt your ability, you harm your performance, also risk of physical & psychological health. You can change the way you think.
